The Lipizzaner Christmas Ball is a music show featuring horses, riders, drivers and extras, along with special guests of the evening, organized by the Đakovo State Stud Farm. This breath-taking music show is based on a different Christmas story every year. Two shows are held every year at the covered riding arena of the Đakovo Stud Farm.
A true spectacle, the show features 40 thoroughbred horses and 100 superb riders, drivers, dancers, actors and acrobats, whose masterful performances tell an exciting fairy-tale in cheerful holiday spirit. Scenes depicting glamorous court ceremonies, elegant quadrilles, carriages and pairs, waltz and polka, the dramatic kidnapping of a beautiful fairy, head-spinning single-horse carriage rides and the performances of magnificent dance artists, will take the visitors’ breaths away. The arena can receive about 1,400 spectators.
During the show, an Advent Fair featuring local crafts and family farms is held in front of the arena.
