Motto: Every day is a good day.
Interests: tour guides, tradition and cultural heritage, goldwork, reading, meeting new people and cultures.
About me: Besides a few short trips, I have spent my entire life in Đakovo and I have never wished to go somewhere else. Only now, over the past three years, I have started seeing Đakovo with new eyes. In 2019, I acquired a tour guide license and started extending my knowledge about Đakovo. Even though I knew a lot about it before, I have learned even more by taking people to tours and accompanying tour groups in Đakovo.
As a tour guide, I have a lot of fun and I try to surprise every group with some interesting or astonishing detail. Naturally, I have been discovering many interesting details about the town and people myself. However, I believe that every citizen should learn about their town as much as possible. What surprises me is that there are still citizens who have never seen our cathedral crypt or visited the town museum.
Being a tour guide is an interesting and dynamic job and I believe I have handled it well. I do have stage fright every time, but it is positive, intense, one that makes you do your job as well as you can. I am sorry it is only a side job, but since I am an English and German teacher, it has been a perfectly natural extension of my profession.
