About me: Željko was born in Đakovo in 1957, where he finished primary school and grammar school. He worked as a legal adviser at the Đakovo Agricultural and Industrial Combine and as a lawyer. He is currently retired. In his spare time, he writes about the recent history of Đakovo and Đakovo Region as well as about prominent people from Đakovo from the 19th and 20th century.
He is particularly interested in old Đakovo buildings and their owners. He has published a number of texts in the “Đakovo Embroidery Festival Review” journal, Collection issued by the Museum of Đakovo Region, “Slavonski narodni godišnjak” yearbook, Yearbook of the German People’s Union (VDG Jahrbuch), “Đakovačke novine”, “Đakovački glasnik” and other publications.
