About me: I was born on 30 April 1986, a few days after the Chernobyl disaster, and I grew up in Vrbica, a small village in the Semeljci Municipality. I quit school in my second year of studies at the Faculty of Economics in order to focus on travelling and creating travelogues.
Since 2011, I have been cycling across Europe, and I published two travel books documenting that experience (“Marijanov put” and “Cestom leda do kraja svijeta”). I have several cycling adventures behind me – I cycled to Nordkapp twice, once in wintertime; I cycled from London to Istanbul; I cycled around Europe twice; I tested the Greyp e-bike (Rimac Automobili) twice. I designed the longest bicycle route in Croatia (Via Adriatica Bike, from Prevlaka to Cape Kamenjak in Istria), bicycle routes around Đakovo and a long bicycle route connecting all five Slavonian counties.
In the summer of 2019, after three years of preparations, I started my trip around the world on an e-bike (Giant World Tour). After 133 days, 6 hours and 10 minutes, with 29,061 kilometres crossed, I completed my adventure, becoming the first person to travel around the world on an e-bike, setting an unofficial Guinness world record. I wrote and published a photobook entitled “Na rubu” about this achievement. I have published hundreds of travel articles and reports on all better known national media (Index, Večernji list, 24 sata…), my video reports have been shown on HRT (in the show “Dobro jutro, Hrvatska”), and I am currently working with the National Geographic Magazine Croatia.
In order to dedicate myself to photography and film even more, I have decided to live as a nomad; starting this autumn, I will be living in my car and travelling mostly on mountains (Velebit, Durmitor, the Alps). At the end of January 2023, I will embark on my e-bike journey from the southernmost to the northernmost point of Norway, and we are going to make a documentary about it. Since 2020, I have been accompanied on all my travels by the two best travelling companions – Ena and Max, two Border Collies I adopted.
